I was born and raised in the Jewish Orthodox Chasidic world, wrapped in its melodies, customs, and unspoken expectations. But life has a way of testing the soul. Mine was stretched through years of struggle, heartbreak, wandering, and rebuilding, until I finally found my way back to a different, flavorful, healthier version of Judaism. After a long and painful journey of rediscovery, I returned to Israel and to the roots of my faith with a renewed spirit and a fierce desire to help others find their own path home. Re-Orthodoxed is the story of that journey. It’s raw, honest, and filled with moments that will make you laugh out loud and others that may bring you to tears. Some chapters lift you, others break you open, and all of them lead toward healing and hope.
I wrote this book to honor friends who are no longer here, to speak for those who are still searching in the dark, and to show that Orthodoxy, when lived with sincerity, joy, and depth, can be a powerful source of light. Re-Orthodoxed presents a version of Judaism that is healthy, vibrant, and profoundly authentic. This work is my offering to anyone longing for meaning, connection, and truth. It’s a journey back to God, back to oneself, and back to the eternal heartbeat of the Jewish people Jerusalem.
