It is worth mentioning many sources have described inhibitory checkpoint molecules in cancers since there are poor sources that collected all inhibitory checkpoint molecules. This book tries to categorize and introduce all these molecules based on their application and importance in health and disease. Dr. Lobat Tayebi is the Batten Endowed Professor and Director of the Institute for Engineering in Medicine, Health, & Human Performance (EnMed) in the College of Engineering and Technology at Old Dominion University. Her research is at the interface of biology and engineering, and she has authored over 400 peer-reviewed articles as well as several issued patents and books in the field.

Dr. Mohsen Abdolmaleki holds a PhD in Immunology. His research focuses on immune regulation, cancer, and inflammatory diseases. He has authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications. This book draws on his academic and research expertise in immunology.
