Riassunto

The book offers an in-depth analysis of how Chi Wing Lo masterfully integrates the essence of European culture with the elegance of the East into his sculptures.

Angels from Infinity: The Sculptures of Chi Wing Lo explores and interprets Chi Wing Lo’s sculpture art. His works remind us that art is, among other things, an invitation to change the rhythms of our lives, to sense another order of temporality—slower, closer to the non-temporal, perhaps without ever reaching it. These material enigmas contain the power to slow down thought, bringing it to a standstill in an idea of origin. Situated between the celerity of vision and the inherent immobility of their position in space, his sculptures ask the eye to wait; and along with this arresting of the visual, they urge the mind to delve deeper.
