It is the result of my efforts to cover the essential linguistic needs of Arabic language students and for them to build a strong base in the Modern standard Arabic dialect. The essential goal when creating this book was to simplify and solidify the way language instruction is provided to non-native speakers. Therefore, this book utilizes a technique that we use here at Deewan Institute called “The Ladder of Words.” Each lesson builds on vocabulary and structures from the previous lessons. Not only do students build familiarity with the words, but also progressively become aware of the patterns and structures in the Arabic language as they practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
