Daniel Massard was born in 1950. After receiving double bass and chamber music prizes from the Toulouse National Regional Conservatory, in 1972, he joined the Orchestre National du Capitole in Toulouse. He has performed with the Toulouse Double Bass Quartet, the Mélodia chamber orchestra as well as various chamber music ensembles. Daniel Massard taught double bass at the Blagnac Conservatory. He is now educational advisor at the Montauban Regional Conservatory, where he also taught double bass and chamber music.
