    Recensione

    A suite of six "musical postcards", this is full of appealing syncopated rhythms and jazzy harmonic ideas. An "Ouverture", a short journey from rubato dreaming to a forte reality, sets the scene well. Minimal fingering presents a clear score......An ostinato bass line permeates the second piece. The third offers time signature changes, syncopation and major 7th harmonies, punctuated by a chromatic chord. Carnival atmosphere is evoked after this, followed by a haunting piece before the final "Montuno", a melodic piece with tender harmony. This should bring joy to many intermediate guitarists.
