Sinossi

2026 - The third edition of ‘4000m Peaks of the Alps’ is now available. It is one of the most sought-after books by mountaineers and one of Idea Montagna’s best sellers. The volume has a new graphic design, but above all, it features revised reports on the ascents of the 82 peaks over 4000 metres, describing their current state of glaciers and rocks. In fact, the highest mountains in the Alps have undergone many changes in recent years. This book has been reissued in response to popular demand, providing information for more informed and safer mountaineering. The great beauty of this book, with its detailed accounts of the normal and classic routes of all the 4000-metre peaks in the Alps, has ensured its success, which has also been recognised in Great Britain, Germany and France, where it has been translated and appreciated. The new edition in Italian is also being released at the same time.

Informazioni sugli autori

Marco Romelli - He began roaming the mountains as a child, when he first approached mountaineering in the company of his father. Later, his encounter with Mont Blanc transformed that early curiosity into an irresistible passion, which also found expression through drawing and photography. An illustrator and writer on mountaineering and ski mountaineering for books and magazines, he has already published several reference works with Idea Montagna.

Valentino Cividini - Passionate about ski mountaineering and all the facets it takes on throughout the year—from simple ascents to ice climbing—he has been exploring the Alps for many years. The Orobie Mountains have been his personal training ground as well as his home. Their proximity has allowed him to stay fit and sharpen his skills without neglecting family, commitments, or work. His constant presence in the mountains has led him to seek out new, lesser-known routes. Over the years, to keep boredom at bay, he has learned to discover and conquer even the most hidden corners, often in original ways. The dynamic nature of these climbs has brought him great satisfaction, which he now wishes to share with other enthusiasts.
