Shadows of the Sounds, Book Two
A house is burning across the water in the Marlborough Sounds.
Someone was heard screaming inside.
And before the flames appeared, a boat was heard leaving the bay.
When Senior Constable Jim Storey is called to a waterfront property in Te Mahia Bay in the middle of the night, the fire is already consuming most of the house.
Then firefighters find a dead man outside.
