This paper examines the mathematical foundations of complex systems through the lens of the De Graaff Systems Paradigm — a scale-invariant framework for understanding recursive dynamics, instability, and emergent higher-order behaviour.
Drawing on systems mathematics, nonlinear scaling, temporal evolution, frequency relationships, and curvature, it explores how additional degrees of freedom may emerge through recursive interactions between pressure, movement, time, and system structure.
The work develops a unified mathematical framework connecting physical, informational, and social systems, while exploring applications to dimensional behaviour, cosmological redshift, quantum systems, and macro-scale system stability. The proposed models are presented as mathematical thought experiments and exploratory frameworks for investigating whether apparently different phenomena may be governed by common underlying systemic relationships.
