Nella mezza luce dell'alba, il professor David Sinclair sedeva alla sua scrivania, assorbito da antichi manoscritti che sussurravano racconti di epoche passate. Un leggero bussare alla sua porta lo tirò fuori dalla sua fantasia. All'apertura della porta, incontra il postino dell'università, portando una nota piegata e un pacco pesante.
