The question of another marriage, which everyone has an opinion about, and no one will discuss with you.

Every chapter opens with Scripture, works through a passage at length, tells the story of a real man, and ends with counsel small enough to attempt this week. Three appendices follow: one written for friends, pastors, and adult children who want to help but do not know how; one of prayers for particular hours, including those at three in the morning; and a ninety-day reading plan through the Psalms.

There is no timetable here, and no promise that grief will end on schedule. There is a path, and the assurance that the God who carried you through the marriage, the illness, and the burial has not left the house.

Dr. Douglas Reece

Doug graduated from Pattonville Senior High School in 1970. He then served in the US Air Force in Boise, Idaho, from 1972 to 1976. He was discharged with the rank of E-4.

Doug graduated from Lael College and Graduate School with a BA in Biblical Studies in 2003 and from Covington Theological Seminary in 2007 with a Master of Ministry in Biblical Studies. He is one of the few who has obtained a Doctorate in Eschatology from Luder-Wycliffe Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Theology from Wycliffe Theological Seminary. He was awarded his PhD in 2025.

Dr. Reece is President of Wycliffe School of Theology (www.wycliffeschool.com) and currently pastors Faucett Christian Church.
