Jay P. Patel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Quality & Productivity Solutions, Inc., a consulting and training firm dedicated to helping organizations and individuals build capability, improve performance, and prepare responsibly for the technologies shaping the future. Over a career spanning more than thirty years, he has worked at the intersection of quality, productivity, leadership, and management systems, always with a practical focus on results that last.
His expertise brings together the disciplines of Lean Six Sigma, quality management, ISO, industry standards, training, and consulting. As a Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he has led and guided improvement initiatives across a wide range of environments, and as an educator, he has trained many professionals who continue to advance the practice of operational excellence in their own organizations. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and is a recipient of the Lancaster Medal, honors that reflect sustained contribution to the field.
What distinguishes Jay's work is its breadth. He has consulted and taught across manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace, education, services, and global business, learning firsthand that sound principles travel well across very different settings while the human dimension always remains central. In recent years, his attention has increasingly turned to how data, artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, and emerging technologies can be adopted safely, ethically, and effectively, connecting the timeless disciplines of quality and leadership to the fast-moving world of advanced technology. This book grows directly out of that work.
Through his firm, his teaching, and now this book, Jay P. Patel remains committed to a single guiding purpose: helping people and organizations become genuinely future-ready, capable not only of adopting new technologies but of doing so with judgment, integrity, and lasting benefit.
