This collection of short stories which draws inspiration from many semi-forgotten books, films, and old TV shows. It’s fuelled by countless late-night viewings of black and white films and by some of my favourite authors from the dream-inspired 1950s and 1960s. A time when anything seemed possible. I’ve chosen eight short stories that’ve been swirling around in my head for years. Sometimes they’ve deviated from the original concept, as I wrote them down, while other times I’ve stuck closely to my memories or dreams as best I can. I’ve undoubtedly been influenced by great British authors such as John Wyndham and others.

From a gambler’s final roll of the dice to a lonely alien posing no threat to teenagers, unwittingly participating in a survival game they never wanted to play. A cold blooded murdered who awaits his fate, clear in the knowledge that his story isn't as clear-cut as a jury would have you believe. Eight stories, together yet completely unconnected.
