Ellen Rothberg is an elementary school guidance counselor living in Sugar Land, TX. She is the mother of two adults and grandmother of two adorable children. Ellen has been fortunate enough to co-author three books with her friend and writing partner, Ellen Leventhal. Her fondest writing memories include road trips around the Texas countryside looking for simple everyday things to turn into stories. When her students need a little help with making good choices, Ellen tries to guide them by telling stories containing character building lessons. Talking animals and a little humor go a long way in encouraging children.
Joel Cook is an artist and illustrator from Wisconsin. Since he could hold a pencil, Joel has loved to create art. When he got in trouble for always reading and drawing comics in school, he decided the best revenge was to make art for the rest of his life. Joel's past work includes picture books, comic books, and editorial cartoons. When not in the studio, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and navigating the minefield of toys in his daughter's room. He can now be found teaching art (and still making it in school) outside of Houston, Texas. His artwork can be seen at www.joelcookart.com
