Following on from Jerry Fisher’s last successful Banger Racing publication, the book, ‘50 years of Crashing’, this new publication, Diaries of Destruction, details the next three years of Jerry’s adventures around the oval racing tracks of the UK.
Despite the restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus Pandemic, there was still some interesting and exciting Banger racing that took place during 2020 and 2021, as well as a full season during 2022. The details from the major meetings that took place during these three years, are covered in this publication.
This new book ‘Diaries of Destruction’ features colour photographs, results, reports and stories, as well as the results, from all the major meetings, at all the major tracks.
There is a special section on ‘How to enjoy your first time’, both as a driver and a spectator. So, if you have never attended a Banger Race meeting before, or you would like to try the racing yourself, this chapter will give you the heads up, and includes lots of advice and tips.
As well as Jerry’s own unique meeting reports, this publication also includes his conversations with the drivers, their families and the promoters.
Many of Jerry’s local oval tracks are covered in fine detail, and they include: Aldershot Raceway, Mendips Raceway, Smeatharpe Stadium, Ringwood Raceway, Ringwood Cheetahs, Mullacott Cross, Tongham Raceway, as well as a special feature from the last ever Banger meeting at Angmering Raceway.
