Sinossi

I wrote this book for myself. I’ve kept journals and scraps of paper from college and high school notebooks. Notes in my phone and napkins from coffee shops and restaurants. It was all for me until I remembered that there is more to life than just me. More people who love so deeply that they feel every ounce of it in their body. Those who take on more they can handle, those who are afraid to say no, those who try so hard to be everything for everyone. In my relationships, I’ve been told I’m too emotional yet too reserved. Always too much but also not enough. I’ve been told I’m confusing, cryptic, and complicated. But; I’ve also been loved so deeply, that it scared me. So taken care of, I thought I didn’t deserve it.

These poems are my lowest and highest moments. My deepest emotions and connections. My relationships with my body, partners, family, and friends. These are about heartbreak, grief, addiction, and longing. The feelings of falling in or out of love, with yourself or with someone else.
