The Harmonogram Pendulums Challenge: Math Art Coloring Book contains 50 abstract geometric shapes generated through the R programming language for you to color. Each Harmonogram was coded by me from scratch with unique mathematical parameters to create intricate, harmonic shapes reminiscent of those drawn by pendulums. Thus, each of these complex shapes have been generated with precise geometric measurements and mathematical accuracy!

The book features both symmetric and asymmetric shapes constructed in multiple layers. The layers can be various combinations of ellipses, spirals, figure-of-eights and other Lissajous figures. Superimposing these layers creates interesting complex waves and three dimensional shapes. Traditionally, harmonograms are drawn with different colored lines. However, I am sure you will find your own hidden images within the harmonograms as you color and create patterns within (or even over) these lines!

The harmonograms chosen for coloring have different complexity of their patterns and thus some may be easier to color whereas other are more challenging. The harmonograms are ideal to combine with color palettes in repeating blocks of color for maximum challenge and aesthetic impact! Additionally, there is space around each harmonogram for you to draw, doodle and tangle your own contributions!
