I read the advert "Join the Army, be a man and see the world" So, I did!Read my story as I travel the world and progress through my army career. I joined the Army in 1963, at 15 years of age and, retired in 2007, after 45 years of service. I spent the majority of that time with the 3rd Battalion the Royal Anglian Regiment, The Pompadours. I can honestly say that there wasn't a single day in a single location, either at home or abroad on operations, when I wasn't completely happy and fulfilled with the choices that I made. This is the story of that journey, growing year by year, into the person I am today. I am so thankful for the help, guidance and support from all my friends and peers and would wish you all, health and happiness throughout your lives.
