Originally written by Michael Ayres under his moniker hypergram, sentence appeared online (2012–2018) in a series of 100 poems. Unlike his other hypergram poetry, which tends to be built up in open-ended numbered series, sentence was always conceived of as a single work. A study in the nature of language, this book is particularly concerned with the realm of semantics — with the architecture and construction of meaning — which it explores in a unique, radical and shimmering poetry.
