As worshippers and worship leaders, our journey is one of learning what to pursue in worship and how to be a vessel the Lord can use to minister to others. The worship culture we strive to build must not be for our own benefit, but to build a kingdom that is not our own. Today, we need a true connection with our God and the fruit of this is a culture that reflects His character. The Lord is looking for people who will worship in spirit and in truth, so our worship should be a powerful revelation, sung in faith, of Who our God is that reveals His presence and advances His kingdom. We cannot afford to sing songs we don’t believe in or songs that just make us feel good. Our purpose must be much deeper than being popular; it must be life transformation for ourselves and those that follow us. Setting the Table is a resource to help worship leaders and congregations build a culture where they experience a more powerful exchange of connection with the Lord through their times of gathering together.
