This is the fifth in the series of Tales from the Rabbi's Desk by the popular author Rabbi Walter Rothschild.
However much one writes, there is always more to come. So a further selection is here presented, with the usual warnings that they are not 'true' as such but 'authentic', reflecting a combination of realities. There is always some risk of becoming repetitive when one reflects upon several decades of active work in this field, because people have always been and always will be people and hence some of the situations can easily recur, but at the same time each Tale, each experience is different, is unique. And the Rabbi, too, changes as he or she gains in age and in life-experience and learns from mistakes and moves forwards – or backwards – in their career.
