Understanding the basic concepts of Linear Algebra is very fundamental in the field of Computer Science or Information Technology, specifically in the era of Artificial Intelligence. This book, 'Mathematics for IT / CS - Linear Algebra Concepts with Real-Life Applications', is a collection of slides used to teach the 'Mathematics for IT' course to PG students of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, India. Here, an attempt is made to simplify the learning of Linear Algebra concepts through real-life applications and sometimes numerical examples. Knowing the concepts and related applications will surely boost the confidence of the reader and will create a sense of curiosity to go for advanced learning, and that’s the goal of this book.
The Author is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of IT, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad since 2018. He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience, and holds a PhD degree from University of Mysore. He was a visiting Faculty Researcher at Institute for AI and Data Science, University at Buffalo, USA in 2022 and Visiting researcher at Takushoku University in 2023.
