The Greatness of the Bhagavad GitaIn fact, no one can speak high enough, in words that it actually deserves to describe the glory of the Gita, as it is a scripture containing the highest esoteric doctrines. It is the essence of the Vedas; Its is a highest philosophy that can be used to achieve worldly success as it teaches how to take success and failure alike, so as to eradicate fear of failure, ego, jealousy, hatred and lust for sex and luxuries describing in a lovable and easy way that any one can understand and can be put into practice with little effort. The greatness of the Gita is that every stanza is a multifaceted thought that can be used philosophically and practically to reach higher goals, as it is derived from the rules of Mother Nature. Gita is ever fresh and innovative as it reveals new facets of truth every time even read by same reader. It will control our chaotic self chatter and make it a meaningful discussion making us true to ourselves. The greatness, the purpose, the worth, the efficacy and the vastness of Gita can not be understood at a time. The Gita is celestial fruit, the more you squeeze it the more juice you would get the more juice you get the more lingering taste of sweet it would be. The more times we read the more awareness we will get gaining purity and clarity in our thought process. It gives you an ability to see every situation and experience in a right perspective. As Gita spoken by the Lord, if it is read with concentrated mind possessing faith, reverence and devotion, we can understand the virtues, glory and secrets of God and finally realize the purpose of our life. Gita gives clarity to the confused minds, sooths the struggled life’s and set right the deviated souls. Sri Vedavyasa, after describing the Gita in the Mahabharata, said in the end:-The Gita should be carefully studied, i.e. after reading the text, its meaning and idea should be gathered and held in the mind. It sprung from the lotus like lips of Bhagavan Vishnu Himself, from whose navel sprung the other elaborate scriptures? Moreover, the Lord Himself also described its glory at the end of the Gita (Vide Chapter XVIII verses 68 to 71).All men and women of all age from all walks of life has right to study the Gita; but should be read with faith, respect and devotion, as it is Gods ruling to propagate the Gita only among His devotees, and further said that all men and women from all walks of life even sinful souls can attain the supreme state of salvation, if they cultivate devotion to Him performing their duties with commitment and responsibility with perfection. The Gita clearly stated that all men and women from all walks life have equal right to God-realization. There is a wrong notion in the present society that Gita will drive the young towards renunciation, so people are reading Gita at the age of 60 years to come out of inferiority and guilty feeling caused due to their wrong deeds when they are young and strong. It is sheer waste, to us and to the society, reading Gita at the age of sixty, just because God starts switching off our jovial feelings one after another which we have enjoyed in a wrong way leaving a guilty conscious. Actually Gita will protect our children from anti-social elements, creates social awareness and unselfish nature and make them responsible Citizens. More over, as Gita was spoken out from lotus like lips of Lord Krishna to enlighten Arjuna, who turned away from his duty of a warrior leaving all his weapons in the war field, due to infatuation, and influenced him instantly to do his duty as warrior and let him live the life of householder all his life performing his duties and enjoying worldly pleasures as well. So how can such a Gita influence young generation in an absolutely opposite way.
