One of the greatest sources of debate today concerns the relationship among the Bible’s creative days, the existence of prehistoric humans, and the emergence of modern humans, described as made in the image of God. The timelines proposed by theology, geology, archaeology, and the sciences often appear so different that many assume they can never be reconciled. As new geological and archaeological discoveries emerge, the perceived divide between these viewpoints seems to widen further.
This publication seeks to explore those differences and examine whether they are as irreconcilable as they first appear. By looking beyond the traditional boundaries of individual disciplines and approaching the subject with an open mind, it may be possible to identify areas of convergence rather than conflict. The premise of this work is that many of the apparent contradictions arise from differing assumptions, perspectives, and methods of interpretation. When viewed within a broader framework, some of these differences may prove far less significant than commonly believed.
