We don’t have to look far to see that despair abounds regardless of our career or residence. But why such despair? Life is messy. Being real is tough. Holding on to the promises of God seems impossible. The wise King Solomon once wrote, “God put eternity in man’s hearts,” meaning God places a longing for significance and purpose in each one of us so that we seek him and understand our purpose.
Unfortunately, the various empty ways we seek to find and settle eternity in our hearts are what cause peace to elude us and eventually lead us to despair.
From Broken to Blessed is one man’s journey and the lessons learned along the way—through the mineeld of addiction, issues with intimacy, and financial debt, to a glimpse of blessings, and then seeing mountains move. Paul LeCompte was struck by the words of Jesus, “Now go and tell others about the great things God has done,” which echoed in his heart and his mind until he applied it to his own life. Paul’s struggles, and eventual blessings, helped him grasp the power of purpose and the lessons learned to go, show, and tell others the great things God has done.
From Broken to Blessed provides the reader hope and a process to simplify the search for purpose, no matter where they are and regardless of their external circumstances, or what is going on in the world. e story takes us to the Word of God regarding faith, stewardship, prayer, mentoring, and accountability to experiencing the peace that transcends all understanding.
