A misfit who never asked for power. A wicked destiny that can’t be escaped.

If you enjoyed Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Golden Compass, or Artemis Fowl, you’ll love Misfit’s Magic: The Last Halloween. It’s a rollicking all-ages fantasy adventure steeped in autumn imagery and Halloween lore.
When a school research assignment leads a lonely orphan boy to perform a midnight spell in a cemetery…
The magic works.
And it paints a target on his back.
He becomes both hunter and hunted, the mortal enemy of the most powerful dark wizard in centuries, and the only one who can stop an ancient ritual coming on Halloween night that could make it the last night of freedom the world ever knows.
Full of heart, humor, and cinematic suspense, Misfit’s Magic is a story about coming of age, found family, valuing individuality, trusting your heart, and reluctant heroism.

FRED GRACELY grew up in Pennsylvania and now resides just outside Boston, Massachusetts. After attending six different colleges and studying many subjects (art, electronics, computer science, psychology), he earned a B.S. in Psychology from Framingham State University and, later in life, an M.A. in Human Relations, Specializing in Holistic Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. He discovered his love for writing and storytelling as he read books to his children. On a whim, he started making up stories to tell them. They enjoyed them so much that he began to write them down. Now, there is little he loves as much as sitting down to craft language and bring characters and stories to life.
