Sinossi

After teaching fourth grade for forty-two years in her small hometown, Beth St. Claire retires. To celebrate, she paints her living room beige. Then she has a heart attack. Michael Bartoli has spent ten rough years caring for his wife Evelyn as her body and mind deteriorated. After her death, while visiting his daughter who lives in the same small town, Michael has a heart attack. Beth and Michael meet in Cardiac Rehab and together they discover when your heart attacks you, everything changes. Combining her long-practiced pragmatism and his unwavering kindness, Beth and Michael journey through the intricacies of a senior love affair. After a surprise wedding on a cruise ship and a cross-country roadtrip in an ancient borrowed Airstream, the newlyweds land in the middle of the Arizona desert when they mistake a food truck rodeo for an RV park. Green Valley, Arizona, becomes their new home and here, together with family and friends, they celebrate their new life (wine is involved) and tackle some of our country’s greatest challenges — immigration, income inequality, same-sex marriage. When Michael begins to show signs of dementia, Beth must confront a terrifying possibility-after working for their entire lives, they may not have the financial means to grow old in comfort and dignity. As Beth struggles to find help, Michael journeys alone into their last adventure. ROADTRIP to MIRACLES is a tale of hope, optimism and a love that both endures and expands to anyone in need.
