Riassunto

The Last Quest

Business/Christian/Fiction:
"Tonight, it seems 69 year old, businessman Harvey will dodge another bullet—maybe. An objective observer would note that these downward emotional slopes happen more often. But for Harvey, there are no objective observers. He will not let his wife get too close. He is very adept at denial. Will it be days, weeks, or months? Can’t say for sure. But something must happen soon. Harvey, the good man, the gifted entrepreneur, self-sufficient, and distant husband, the Christian, is depressed. More to the point, he is alone."

CEO Harvey has been delaying retirement, and now it's too late. He is about to lose it all. He is depressed and at the end of his rope. One evening at home as he is considering his fate, he happens to see a book on his wife's nightstand, a teenage fantasy, Tale of the Unlikely Prince. He sheepishly picks it up and begins to read it. Over the next couple of days, as his business continues to shatter, he can't stop reading the book. The book is about a young prince who goes on a fantastic quest, with dragons, gnomes, and even spiders. By means of the quest, Harvey learns more about himself and what legacy is all about.

“Five Stars--Fantastic effect...enlightening…one-of-a-kind narrative…Every Christian should read.” Readers’ Favorite

"The Last Quest is a fantastic read about a life truth that applies to everyone and especially the business executives who are chasing their dream. Dr Senyard does a masterful job of weaving a story to everyday business. It is like Pilgrim’s Progress meets McKinsey consulting. This story will greatly encourage and refocus your personal quest." Bruce Witt, President, Leadership Revolution.

"The Last Quest brings a fresh breeze to stagnant business books. Dr. Bill's uniquely inventive book will guide and focus your spirits and get you on course for your joyful professional life of meaning and contribution." Eric Protzman, Business Made Simple, Senior Business Growth Coach.

"The Last Quest is a great example that if you want to tell the truth, you write fiction. Dr. Senyard wrote exactly what I needed to help me refocus on what's important in my business. I was measuring my value and success through a world economy instead of through the economy of the Father's kingdom. The story within the story reminded me that I just need to be a good steward of what was never mine to begin with." Steve Bock, Founder and CEO, Subsentio.

"Dive into 'The Last Quest,' where a struggling entrepreneur and a young prince embark on parallel journeys of self-discovery and redemption. Will they conquer their inner demons and find the validation they seek?" IFF’24 Review
