Rich thought he was simply honoring a final request: drive his dead father's ashes across the country to Funland, the fading amusement park that once defined their happiest memories. But what begins as an obligation becomes something far more personal.
Haunted by the death of the woman he loved and the betrayal that shattered his family, Rich sets out west in a failing station wagon with a grieving drifter named Justin, a stack of mysterious envelopes, and no real plan for what comes after the road ends. Along the way, they encounter lonely diners, forgotten movie theaters, desert canyons, and the kind of late-night conversations that crack people open.
As old wounds resurface, both men must confront the unbearable weight of guilt, the loneliness of survival, and the possibility that forgiveness might still exist for broken people.
