- This student workbook contains daily reading warm-up and practice passages and questions for third-grade students.
- Use this as a weekly warm-up and do one reading question each day (Monday - Friday).
- In the beginning, model questions for the students. Next, they can answer them in pairs or groups, share answers, and discuss/check.
- You could do the warm-ups in order, or you can go in the order that follows your district’s curriculum.
- Students can write directly on the pages and keep all their warm-ups and practice pages neatly organized in one book.
- Students can also use their workbook to look back at previous questions as a review right before assessments.
- Part A/B, Multi-Select, Hot text, short constructed response, and multiple choice questions.
- Reading strategies and teaching suggestions are included at the beginning of the book.
- Answer Keys for Reading Warm-Ups and Practice Questions can be found at the back of the book.
**Note: You may remove the answer keys at the back of the book or keep them for students to self-check.
Each of the 11 weeks contains:
- A Reading Warm-Up Passage with five questions
- A Reading Practice Passage with ten questions

- Week 5: 1 Poetry Warm-Up Passage
- Week 6-7: 2 Nonfiction/Informational Passages
- Week 8: 1 Argumentative Debate Passage
- Weeks 9-11: 1 Set of Paired Passages (Nonfiction and Fiction)
Practice Passages:
