In the spirit of Albert Camus, thirteen academic essays are compiled to inspire the scholarship of resistance for us all. Fifteen professors, post-docs, and researchers from around the world converge to produce a singular special-edition essay collection to codify resistance, its social roots, applied practice, and future possibilities to assess its viability for understanding risk societies. Through philosophising about death, utopias, dance, pedagogy, power, nonviolence, war, and collective histories, the project approaches resistance from a holistic lens to bridge philosophical rigour from the academy, applied thought within armchair philosophy, and the broader intellectual interest from the general public.
