Dark blue cloth spine lightly bumped at ends; gray boards. Foxing to text block edges and endpapers; interior pages remain clean. Binding retains some crispness. A very good+ copy in a very good dust jacket. With six unpaged sections of b/w plates (all new for this revised edition) plus three city maps for Birmingham, Huntsville, and Mobile amongst text; four appendices include Chronology, Bibliography, Map of Alabama in Sections (on pages 391-400 as opposed to the rear pocket large foldout map provided in the 1941 and 1949 editions), and Index. Text divided into three major parts: "Alabama Yesterday and Today" (titled "Past and Present" in the original edition), "Cities" (originally "Courthouse Squares") providing history, description, and points of interest for Anniston, Birmingham, Decatur, Florence, Gadsden, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Selma, and Tuscaloosa, and "Tours" (same as the original).
