A comprehensive band method that develops creativity and musicianship. Students will improve the following skills:
1. Tone Quality - Each melody on the recordings is performed by a world-class musician so the student can hear how good tone and musical phrasing should sound.
2. Intonation: Tuning with the tuning note will encourage proper and consistent intonation. The student may then play along with the professional musician and try to match the pitch. Each selection is recorded twice, once with a soloist and once without.
3. Rhythm - Each selection has a count-off and is kept in strict time. Performing with the recordings is an excellent way to develop good rhythm.
4. Music Reading and Listening Skills - In order to play along with the recordings the students must learn how to read and finger the correct notes.
