The East European Conferences on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS) serves as a prestigious platform for sharing cutting-edge research in data management. It fosters collaboration among database researchers, practitioners, developers, and users from East Europe and beyond. This volume presents the proceedings from the 11th ADBIS Conference, held in Varna, Bulgaria, from September 29 to October 3, 2007. Lastly, Paolo Atzeni tackled the challenges of schema and data translation within emerging model management systems, highlighting significant research opportunities.
