Paperback. Some mornings nothing goes right. The toast burns. You're running late. The whole day feels lost before it starts. But what if those moments aren't working against you?Rilo's Burnt Toast is the newest picture book in C. D. Pritchard's Adventures of Rilo Fox series, a warmly illustrated, deeply layered story for children ages 7-10 and the adults who love them. When Rilo Fox burns the toast on Saturday morning, he sets off a chain of ordinary events that will take his father across town, through a friend's flooded kitchen, into the local hardware store, and home with something nobody saw coming. Nobody planned it. Nobody could have. It just worked out. Or did it?Perfect for fans of The Alchemist and The Go-Giver, this is the rare children's book that operates on multiple levels simultaneously. Young readers will love the humor, the heart, and the world of Spring Falls. Parents will find something quieter underneath, a story about grace, generosity, and the possibility that nothing is wasted. Not the delays. Not the detours. Not even the mistakes.Featuring beautiful watercolor illustrations, authentic blue-collar family values, and a father and son story that reminds every reader what really matters, Rilo's Burnt Toast is the picture book you'll buy for your child and finish thinking about yourself.Written by C. Effetti del recesso
