With a passion to help students learn the key to passing these exams and have success in future life-long learning pursuits in medicine, Dr. Miller developed a systems approach to multiple choice exams. The AIM YOUR BRAIN Study System is designed to help each student customize their study approach, handle key content more efficiently, remember specific F.A.C.T.O.I.D.s and advance toward peak performance on exam day. This tested-system can transform the way a student approaches timed multiple-choice exams by showing the how-to without the got you. While there are other books on USMLE preparation, Aim Your Brain at USMLE Step 1 is the first to: Introduce the innovative Aim Your Brain Study System; Offer step-by-step instruction on how to organize, study, and use time effectively when preparing for Step 1; Clarify what to do when life intrudes while studying, and how to set the stage for success on exam day; Convert complex information into small bytes the brain can easily store and retrieve; Combine the optimal use of on-line questions banks with targeted content in an active approach to learning. To practice for the USMLE Step 1 exam, its far more effective to answer actual test-like questions than to simply read the textbooks and review books. By itself, the reading-only approach doesnt work because its passive, and you need active preparation for a multiple-choice exam. The AIM YOUR BRAIN Study System is designed to help you customize your study approach so you learn in the way you learn best, identify any weak points in your knowledge, and turn them into strengths.Breaking down complex information into short phrases lets you handle the key concepts more efficiently, so youre able to remember specific F.A.C.T.O.I.D.s during timed multiple-choice exams. Only the AIM YOUR BRAIN System gives you crucial frequently asked concepts, so you really get to know them. This ensures that you convert information into small bytes that your brain can store for easy, more stress-free retrieval.
