How can we discern, decide, act, stay motivated, and move forward (with serenity) in an individualistic, hyperconnected, hypercompetitive society increasingly shaken by crises?

The author invites us to make bold decisions: to let ourselves be guided by Pericles’ maxim: “there is no happiness without freedom, nor freedom without courage”; to explore the mechanisms of thought, decision-making, communication, motivation, and collective effectiveness; and to aim “higher” (altius in Latin): by scaling new heights in the goals we pursue, the values we uphold, and the shaping of our character.
Inspired by the wisdom of great authors and the experiences of scientists, entrepreneurs, soldiers, and champions, Altius offers a path, a method, and the twelve founding pillars of lasting success. It invites you to cultivate a dynamic of serenity and effectiveness and to strengthen your leadership skills so that you may achieve greater success in all your endeavours—professional or personal, individual or collective.

After beginning his career in the French Army, the author dedicated himself to business leadership, entrepreneurship, and the training of managers and executives. He now heads a non-profit association and the Altius Group, which brings together leaders and experts from science, the armed forces, business, sport, art, and media.
