While Hedgehog gets ready to hibernate, Mouse dreads a lonely Christmas. Just before Hedgehog dozes off, he whispers, “I’ll be there, Mouse. To help Hedgehog find his way home, Mouse decides to decorate the largest tree in the forest with beautiful lights.

Dutch author-illustrator Ron van Maurik loves to draw. He thinks it’s fascinating that a few lines can make a piece of paper come alive. When Ron isn’t busy illustrating, he’s probably running around barefoot in nature, climbing rocks, or swimming in a beautiful lake, preferably with his son, who has taught him that the world we live in is so much brighter and more colorful than he remembered it to be. Seeing the world through his son’s eyes has impacted Ron’s art and life in the most wonderful way.
