Bhakti Mathur lives in Hong Kong with her husband, their two sons, and two dogs. After a long stint as a banker, she now juggles her time between writing, teaching yoga, executive coaching and bibliotherapy.
Bhakti is a children’s book author with 21 published titles to date. She started the Amma Tell Me series (2011) to share with her children the stories from Hindu mythology that had once mesmerized her as a child. Written in rhyme and vividly illustrated, the series endeavors to keep the tradition of oral storytelling alive and create a special moment between parent and child. Bhakti is also the author of the Amma Take Me series (published by Penguin Random House, India).
Bhakti is also a freelance journalist for South China Morning Post, chronicling inspirational people and their journeys through life, health and fitness. When not writing or running after her teenagers, Bhakti is happiest curled up with a book in one hand and a hot cup of chai in the other.
Bhakti Mathur is the author of the 'Amma Tell Me' and 'Amma Take Me' series of children’s books about Indian mythology and history, with 18 published titles to date. After a long stint as a banker, she now juggles her time between writing, practicing yoga, and with her family. She lives in Hong Kong with her husband, their two children, and two dogs. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Hong Kong and is a freelance journalist with over 88 published articles in the South China Morning Post on life, health, and fitness. Bhakti is an ICF credentialed (ACC) executive coach and a bibliotherapist. When not writing or running after her boys, Bhakti is happiest curled up with a book in one hand and a hot cup of chai in the other.

Bhakti Mathur, private banker by day, mother to Shiv and Veer (seven and five years old) and an avid delver in Indian mythology at all other times is the creator of the ‘Amma Tell Me’ books—a series of picture books about Indian festivals and mythology for children in the three to nine year age group. She wrote and self-published her first book, “Amma Tell Me About Holi!” in 2011 and over the next 3 years, the series has grown with books on the festival of Diwali, the Hindu epic Ramayana and stories about the Hindu gods, Krishna, Ganesha and Hanuman.“The real motivation for writing the ‘Amma Tell Me’ series was to share with my sons the fascinating stories from Indian mythology that I had grown up with,” says Bhakti. “But, I found that there were no resources that were simple to understand and that captured the rich imagery of mythological India that is such an integral part of these stories for me. So I went ahead and started writing the stories in a style that I think kids find fun and non-preachy and collaborated on the illustrations to bring out the imagery that I want my stories to convey.”Bhakti grew-up in Delhi. She studied at Modern School Vasant Vihar. She obtained her graduate degree in Economics and her post graduate degree in Finance from Delhi University. She is a CFA charter holder. She currently works for a major Swiss Bank and lives in Hong Kong with her husband, their two sons and their beloved golden Labrador.Bhakti is a committed writer ambassador for Room to Read, a global non-profit which offers holistic literacy and girls’ education programs.An avid reader, a long-distance runner and a yoga enthusiast, when not working or running after her boys, she is happiest curled up with a book in her hand and a hot cup of chai.

Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).

Effetti del recesso

Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a GreatBookPrices, Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A., senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico.
