Foster R. McCurley is Professor Emeritus of Old Testament and Hebrew and former Dean of the Faculty at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He is the author of Wrestling with the Word: Christian Preaching from the Hebrew Bible (1996) and Witness of the Word: A Biblical Theology of the Gospel (with John Reumann; Fortress Press, 1986), and editor of the six-volume Proclamation Commentaries - The Old Testament Witnesses for Preaching (Fortress Press, 1978-79).
