A very good minus, clean, tight copy. Original publisher's laminated boards. Rare. No inscriptions. Some shelf wear with some light but notable indentation marks to the boards. Light or slight bumps to the head and tail of the spine. Slight rubbing to the head of the spine and to the board corners. A very good minus, clean, tight copy of a rare publication.

This book provides an examination of contemporary Anglo-American relations. Sometimes controversially referred to as the Special Relationship, Anglo-American relations constitute arguably the most important bilateral relationship of modern times. However, in recent years, there have been frequent pronouncements that this relationship has lost its ‘specialness’.
This volume brings together experts from Britain, Europe and North America in a long-overdue examination of contemporary Anglo-American relations that paints a somewhat different picture. The discussion ranges widely, from an analysis of the special relationship of culture and friendship, to an examination of both traditional (e.g. nuclear relations) and more recent (e.g. environment) policies. Contemporary developments are discussed in the context of longer-term trends and contributing authors draw upon a range of different disciplines, including political science, diplomacy studies, business studies and economics. Coupled with a substantive introduction and conclusion, the result is an insightful and engaging portrayal of the complex Anglo-American relationship.
The book will be of great interest to students of US and UK foreign policy, diplomacy and international relations in general.

Descrizione dello Store
Trumpington Fine Books Limited has been in business for a number of years. We specialize in all books of distinction whether they be modern collectable first editions, monographs or books of reference, fine bindings or antiquarian. Or just simple affordable books, which we believe are of merit. We focus on describing our books thoroughly and aim to make each customer satisfied with their purchase. 'What it says on the tin'....is what should be in the tin. We also take great care in the packaging of our books - we virtually never have a complaint about books being damaged in transit and we aim to uphold this - despite the fact that it is considerably more expensive on time and materials (and thus money) to pack books well. We try and make our books as affordable as possible and we recognize that times are hard. We have many repeat customers and we are delighted to have them as they only confirm the above. On the rare occasion that things do go wrong, we will try very hard to rectify any problems. We are able to bulk purchase through Royal Mail and aim to make no money out of postage - in point of fact, after taking into account the cost of packaging materials, we take a loss on postage - all our discounts are passed on to the customer. In our business we will endeavour to always uphold the customer. So in short, buy with confidence! Testimonial from Jose in Spain who recently bought some books from us : THE BOOKS HAVE ARRIVED IN PERFECT ORDER AND WITH THE EXPECTED QUALITY. YOU PACK FOR WAR! THANK YOU. LOOK FORWARD TO DEALING WITH YOU AGAIN SOON. BEST WISHES JOSE and we look forward to his next point of contact with us.…
