It is good to see this classic reprinted as a third edition. My own copy of the second edition has been used so regularly as a reference for formulae over more than twenty-five years that it has lost its covers and some pages have become detached ... a very thorough book which has stood the test of time and will now be available to a further generation of postgraduate students and researchers.
