Cum privilegio Sacra Caesaris Maiestatis & Christianissimi Francorum Regis.'With notes of the jurist Denis Godefroy.Published in Geneva, by Jean Vignon in 1604.The printer's device features an anchor with a snake. At either side a hand holding on the anchor, each coming from a cloud.Beautifully decorated architectural frame, late Renaissance style, with seated reading figures on the sides. Letterpress on paper, in black ink; total: 237 x 155 mm; mounted on cardboard mat; some rubbing and staining at bottom; in fair condition.
