"Architectural Drafting" provides a comprehensive and practical guide to the fundamental principles and techniques used in the creation of architectural drawings. Authored by Carl Lars Svensen and Edgar Greer Shelton, this work serves as an essential resource for students, draftsmen, and architects seeking to master the art of technical representation. The book covers a wide array of topics, including the use of drafting instruments, lettering, orthographic projections, and the development of detailed plans, elevations, and sections.

Moving beyond simple technical instruction, the text emphasizes the importance of clarity, precision, and aesthetic balance in architectural communication. Readers will find detailed explorations of structural details, architectural conventions, and the graphic symbols necessary for conveying complex building designs. By bridging the gap between artistic vision and engineering reality, "Architectural Drafting" offers timeless insights into the discipline of drafting as it stood during a pivotal era of building construction. This classic guide remains a valuable historical reference for those interested in the evolution of architectural practice and the foundational skills required for professional drafting and design documentation.
