Born in the last days of steam, Nigel Digby had a fascination for railways and railway modeling from a very early age, thanks to his father. After his training in architecture, he became involved in historical research as well as railway modeling, and has since published several books and many articles on the subject. He is a musician as well as an author, and lives in Cromer with his wife and three daughters.
