The author was present in the court room for the complete 182 days of this trial. This covers the trial of 22 former 'SS'men in 1963. Writing in a terse, documentary style, alternating paraphrases with direct quotations from the defendants, witnesses, prosectors, defense attorneys & judges. At the time it was the most important trial of Holocaust perpetrators conducted in West German courts. This has an 'introduction' by Hannah Arendt & was 'translated' by Jean Steinberg. With 27 'B & W' photographs. A 1st edition, with its dust-jack, in near to fine condition-'D.J' cover is marked & very slightly chipped, the book itself is in fine condition.
