After the accident, young Jonathan Christian Grant finds himself sent to an orphanage. Just to survive from day to day was his only goal. Freedom that came at age 18 was his only dream. "Tears rolled down my cheeks. This was the first time I ever remember really crying. I had never felt like that before. I not only felt loved for who I was, but for what I could become. Sarah's love was truly unconditional." Young Jonathan realizes, "Her faith in me was overwhelming. Her vision of what I could be was humbling. That was the first time in my life I had ever experienced so much emotion regarding others and myself. As I looked at others, I began to see them differently." Something from within Jonathan had certainly changed. "This was remarkably different. Had I changed? Was there some type of metamorphosis taking place in me? Was I beginning to look at people from a new perspective? Had I been given some kind of a new understanding? What was this awakening within me?"
