Jon Wagner is a pioneer in working virtually. He has been working with and researching virtual teams for over 20 years, including team workshops, online seminars, effectiveness assessments and team interventions for leadership, global and cross-cultural teams. This accelerated when Jon was invited to take on a leadership role for Hewlett-Packard in California and found that his son had trouble breathing due to poor air quality. He proposed, successfully, that he take on that role to a significant degree virtually, from his lakefront property in Ontario. Given that those were the days of dial-up connection, that was a challenge, but a challenge that was met successfully and built on for years. Jon led virtual teams and worked with dozens of leadership teams and then worked on converting numerous learning solutions to better fit the learning needs of a virtual workforce. As a Human Resources Development and Training and Development Leader and Consultant he has designed, developed and delivered Blended Learning programs and solutions globally to diverse clients. He has also consulted to several large Training and Development companies and organizations to help them shift from a face-to-face classroom environment to Blended Learning and the Virtual Classroom. Jon has worked in senior Human Resources, OD, Training and Change Management roles for over 35 years. As an organization consultant he has facilitated large-scale change projects and organizational transformations at HP, Agilent, Alcan, Ontario Public Service, Oracle Clients and Loblaw.
