This is a familiar story but the way Dave has approached it warts and all and opened his heart and soul makes this book personal. Fantastic read and for people of a certain age very nostalgic too.
Tough read by a tough bloke fighting the mental and the physical. Gripping read throughout with warts and all honesty, reflection and awareness. Brave story to share so openly which could give hope to others facing similar demons in alcohol.
The purpose of this book is to help others' realize they are not alone in their struggles.
Life's events can influence which path a kid can follow, addiction is accountable for millions of lives and Dave found the strength to firstly get sober and clean; and then to continue working on himself ans the demons that took over his very being.
