In each life there are mountains to be climbed, obstacles to overcome, lessons to be learned. For noted sales and leadership consultant Mark Thacker, taking on Mount Kilimanjaro at age 50 brought more than physical challenges; it also revealed – with unexpected clarity – life lessons in how to serve others and achieve more in the process. In Beyond the Mountaintop, Observations on Selling, Living and Achieving, Thacker shares the compelling story of how he and wife Pam stepped far beyond their comfort zones to venture a world away from their Indiana home to Tanzania. It was there that they tested the limits of their strength, endurance and will to succeed as they set out to conquer the world’s 4th highest mountain. It was there that they discovered untapped resolve within themselves. And it was there – thousands of feet above the African clouds – where they found the very best of the human spirit and the true meaning of abundance. Part adventure narrative and part sales and leadership manifesto, Beyond the Mountaintop takes you into that thin Kilimanjaro air that few dare to breathe. Whether you are a sales professional seeking to scale the peaks that stand in the way of your success, or someone who is simply taking on the struggles of an ordinary day, Beyond the Mountaintop will inspire you to new heights.
